We were recently asked about conception rates from blended semen with multiple bulls per straw verses a straw with one bull. A few years back, Select Sires Inc. conducted scientific research on this topic. The published research concluded, “Heterospermic insemination (blended bulls) DOES NOT IMPROVE CONCEPTION RATES compared to homospermic (single bull) use of the same sires.”
