We recently honored Steve Otteson, Arlington, for reaching his 100,000-first-services milestone. Steve has been an A.I. technician with EC/SS for 27 years; he serves the Columbia-County area. Reproductive Specialist

As a reproductive specialist, experience a career in the A.I. industry, and work with today’s most elite dairy producers, as a team member at the highly-successful East Central/Select Sires.

Key responsibilities:
-- On-farm reproductive consultation -- commonly referred to as Select Reproductive Solutions (SRS) -- with dairy producers and their management team
-- Record analysis, generate reports, and troubleshoot programs through on-farm software such as Dairy Comp 305, PC Dart etc.
-- Implement team meetings for troubleshooting and advancing herd reproduction
-- Work with producers implementing synchronization programs and protocols
-- Manage the installation and service of automated-detection programs and cow-monitoring systems
